Absolutely beautiful golf course. A must-play in South Carolina.
Just booked a trip. Thanks for the great info on this blog!
The setting along the Intracoastal is stunning. Love this place.
The digital tech in their carts helped my golf game AND my marriage. How cool is that?
I’d love to try this course out. Any tips for managing those waterways?
Those waterways are my nemesis. Love the course though!
Those pictures are really making me miss golf. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, what a beautiful course. Definitely need to visit!
In love with the views on this course. Nothing better than golf and beautiful sceneries.
How’s the Pro Shop? Looking for some equipment updates.
I’ve played there a few times, it’s always a challenge!
The post-round drinks at their bar are the best! End the day on a high note.
It’s all about the short game at River Oaks!
Anyone tried out the driving range at River Oaks? Looking to practice my swing before hitting the actual course. Wondering how well-maintained it is and if they provide decent quality golf balls? Also, really keen to know how busy it tends to get on weekends?
Play here at least once every summer. Never gets old.
As a pro, I highly recommend this course for all levels. It offers a good challenge.
I played last week, and the course was in great condition. It’s worth a visit!
To Bobby – The course layout has not changed, they possibly adjusted the rating after reassessment.
Reading this blog makes me want to ditch work for a golf day.
IGH those greens are well kept, nice job from the maintenance team! Ultradwarf Bermuda grass is my favorite.
Does anyone know if they allow walk-ons or is a reservation required?
Love that they have Cart Rentals. Makes it easier for my folks to enjoy the game.
Anyone been recently? I’m planning a trip over the summer.
Great post, brings back memories. Might have to book a tee time soon.
Did anyone notice the slope rating has different? Has the course difficulty level changed?
Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad breaks from good shots; you get good breaks from bad shots – but you have to play the ball where it lies. This course taught me that.
Anyone else looooove the sand traps at River Oaks? Just me? Alright then.
Enjoyed reading about my favorite golf course. Makes me want to get that elusive hole-in-one.
Hard to believe this place has been around since 1987, they’ve maintained it really well.
My retirement days are golf days. River Oaks is part of the rotation.
As a beginner, would this course be too difficult for me?
Just got back from vacation – the River Oaks is my new favorite!
I’ve played at the River Oaks Golf Course several times and it never gets old. The Intracoastal Waterway provides a stunning backdrop as you navigate your way around the course. I highly recommend it to any golfer who’s looking for a challenging course with amazing views. Plus the golf pro shop is always stocked with the latest equipment!
Do they have a restaurant or bar in the clubhouse?
27 holes sure test your stamina. Great course though!
River Oaks always puts my short game to the test. Looks like it’s time to pay another visit!
I love River Oaks, the staff is always so friendly and helpful.
Took my kids to River Oaks for their lessons, the instructors there are top-notch.
Great to hear that. My kids start lessons here next week!
I’ve been visiting River Oaks for years, this blog post really does it justice. Great pictures!
Oh I agree, this place is a gem. Always love a round here.
The greens roll so true here. You’ve got to play this course!
Defo, greens as smooth as a billiard table. Love it!
