I’m a fan of any course that has a good pro shop. You can never have too many golf balls.
Just booked my tee time. Looking forward to the front and back nine!
Really helpful review. Could you do one on Tidewater golf course next?
Great review, though I think this course isn’t as challenging as some make it out to be. Practice makes perfect!
The restaurant here is awesome. Try the steak sandwich after your round!
Those images of the course are stunning. Definitely adding this to my golfing bucket list!
I played here last year and wasn’t disappointed. The greens are well-kept and the layout is really interesting.
I’ve always found that the trick with Dye courses is patience. Can’t wait to try this one.
Cheers for the recommendation. Definitely taking the golf cart rental! These feet were made for putting, not walking.
A golf cart is definitely a game changer, saves time and energy!
Not just saving your feet, it’s all about preserving energy for the perfect swing too!
I can relate! The scenery is worth the ride alone.
The walk is part of the game, but the golf cart rental sure does make the course more enjoyable.
I’ve lost more balls on courses designed by Dye than any other. Worth it every time!
Has anyone tried out the golf instructors here? I need to clean up my swing.
I’ve always been intrigued by the courses designed by the Dyes. Should be fun trying out Prestwick.
Is it just me or this course looks rather challenging? Looks like a slice fest waiting to happen.
Does anyone know if they offer group discounts? Planning a trip with my golfing buddies.
Best kept secrets? Well, not anymore! 😂
Prestwick Golf Course has been on my bucket list for some time now. Glad to see such a positive review. The scenic views of creeks and lakes sound irresistible. Has anyone played recently? How are the course conditions currently?
The signature hole here is a thing of beauty. Great challenge!
As a ‘golfer of a different skill level’ (aka pretty bad), I appreciate courses like this.
Don’t worry, we all start somewhere. Prestwick is great for honing your skills.
If you never golfed poorly, you’d never have highlights when you actually do well!
Agree! It’s always great to find accommodating courses. Makes the game feel less intimidating.
Remember, you’re not bad, you’re just less experienced. Prestwick will guide you to improvement.
Is it quite crowded during the summer months? Looking for a quiet place for my vacation.
The course can be busy but it’s worth it. The serenity is just unmatched!
Well, summer is their peak season, but tee off early or late to beat the crowd.
It can get a bit busy, but early morning tee times usually avoid the crowd.
Prestwick does see some traffic in summers, but the beauty and layout make it worth the wait.
I’ve played at Prestwick before and it’s truly a gem! Doesn’t surprise me it was voted one of the ‘Top 5 Best Kept Secrets in America.’ The course really does cater to all skill levels. Hope to go back soon!
