With so many great courses throughout Myrtle Beach you might get lost in the courses you might wanna play on your Myrtle Beach golf trip. Here is a list of the top 10 courses in the South Carolina, Myrtle Beach area.
1.Dunes Golf Course is located in Myrtle Beach, North Carolina. The course has a golf rating of 76.7. Course offers many great amenities including club rentals, driving range, bar, restaurant and pro shop. The Dunes Golf Course has played host to several PGA Senior Championships and one U.S. LPGA Open. The Dunes Golf Course is known as one of the most scenic courses in all of Myrtle Beach with beautiful oceanside views.
2.The Caledonia Golf Course is a par 70 18-hole public course. The course opened 1994 in Pawley, South Carolina. The course plays over 6500 yards on Bermuda grass. The backdrop for this course is tall Oaks and running streams. Amenities include pro shop, restaurants and golf carts and club rentals. It was voted “Top 100” in GolfDigest and GolfWeekly.
3.Grand Dunes Golf Course is located in Myrtle Beach. The course is a par 71, 18-hole course. The Grand Dunes offers many great amenities including club rentals, driving range, bar and pro shop. PGA magazine named this course “ One of the Great Golf Clubs of the World.” Grand Dunes driving range, practice and chipping greens are considered world-class.
4.Arcadian Shores Golf Course is an 18-hole course measuring at 6800 yards. This course is a par 72 with a 73.2 rating. A great course for all skill levels, great fun and challenges. Several course holes play lakeside and there are 64 sand bunkers around the greens. Course is played on beautiful Tifdwarf Bermuda greens. The course was Rees-Jones’ first design in 1974. Practice facilities and golf lessons are available and golfers have access to the Hilton Golf Academy. The PGA named the 13th hole one of the best holes in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
5.The Tournament Players Club golf course was designed by Tom Fazio for championship play. The course is a par 72 course with a golf rating of 74. This course played host to the 2000 Senior Tour Championship. Great for all level players looking to improve their handicap. Tournament Players Club golf course also has all the amenities including a Bar, Golf Cart Rentals, Golf Instructors, a restaurant and Golf Pro Shop.
6.Barefoot Fazio Golf Course is an 18-hole Par 71 public golf course. Located in the Barefoot Resort in north Myrtle Beach. Fazio course measures over 6800 yards. It has a rating of 73.2 and a slope rating of 145. The layout of the course has a beautiful backdrop of live Oaks, native areas and rolling Pine terrain. The 5th hole is a 467 yard Par 5-hole making for an exciting but challenging hole. The Fazio Course has been ranked America’s top 100 public courses by GolfDigest.
7.Barefoot Dye Golf Course is an 18-hole Par 72 semi-private golf course located quietly within The Barefoot Estates. The course offers over 7,300 yards of play. The course rating is 75.3 and has a slope rating of 149. Barefoot Dye Golf Course fairways are played on beautiful GN-1 Bermuda Grass, a hybrid developed by Greg Norman Turf. Barefoot Dyer Golf Course was voted “BEST: State-by-State Course You Can Play.” by GolfWeek and “North America Golf Resort Of The Year’’ by IAGTO in 2017. In 2014 it was also voted “Best Public Courses You Can Play.”
8.Pawleys Plantation Golf Course is located in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The Pawleys course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1988. The golf course is a par 72 that plays over 7000 yards. Pawleys Plantation golf course also has all the amenities including a Bar, Golf Cart Rentals, Golf Instructors, a restaurant and Golf Pro Shop. This golf course also offers a conference facility. The Pawleys Plantation golf course was voted “ America’s Top Courses”, by Golf World in 2009.
9.Barefoot Love Golf Course is an 18 hole Par 72 course. The “Love Course” offers over 7,000 yards of play. The fairways are played on gorgeous GN-1 Bermuda Grass, a hybrid developed by Greg NormanTurf. The greens are Champion UltraDwarf grass. In 2005 Barefoot Love was voted number one “Top 50 Courses Of Myrtle Beach”.
10.Thistle Golf Course is located in Sunset Beach, North Carolina. Thistle is a course modeled after the 1800’s in Scotland, the home to the sport of golf. The course was designed by Tim Cate. Thistle is a 27-hole Par 72 golf course. It has a golf rating of 74.2 and a slope rating of 136. The course is played on beautifully manicured Bentgrass greens. Thistle is well known for its beautiful integration of man-made and natural settings with maritime forests and wildlife wetlands.a
